International organizations meet in Paris and confirm their keenness to help in reconstruction of Syria
Representatives of a number of international organizations concerned with development confirmed their keenness to help in the reconstruction of Syria by ensuring the lifting of sanctions imposed on it in priority sectors such as energy, transportation, and education.
The confirmation came during the organizations’ meeting within the framework of the Paris Conference on Syria, which was launched today with the participation of Syria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Asaad Al-Shibani.
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that international development organizations held a meeting in Paris within the framework of the Paris Conference on Syria, to discuss the challenges the country is facing in terms of humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts.
The participants expressed their desire to work together to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches all parts of Syria without any obstacles.
The participants pointed out that the entire Syrian society should benefit from the reconstruction of the country.They stressed that they want the Syrian refugees to return to their country safely and voluntarily. They also want to help develop the country by working with the Syrian administration in various fields, such as health, education, work, and preserving cultural heritage.
