According to the Syrian Distinction and Creativity Agency, special training will be conducted today for the students participating in this 3-day Olympiad. Competitions will be held tomorrow through a 3-hour test that contains several problems in programming that need to be solved in English, the agency said in a statement.

The agency pointed out that Syria is represented in this Olympiad by the Syrian International Informatics Team of the Syrian Science Olympiad. It comprises students from Al-Ma’arri School in Aleppo identified as Bernard Brahimsha, Mark Awad, Taim Hijazi and Ilia Ibrahim.

The Olympiad is held in teams because it is a requirement for the labour market and it provides the opportunity of mutual support in case of difficulty and enhances creativity that comes from the comparison of different ideas.
