International Forum of Religions recommends strengthening dialogue among people and rejecting extremism and terrorism

With the participation of the Minister of Endowments, Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Sattar Al-Sayed, the International Forum of Religions was launched on Monday in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, which discussed the most important religious, social and intellectual issues and the challenges of the Corona pandemic.

The International Forum of Religions recommended enhancing cooperation among people, combating terrorism and extremist ideology, and rejecting hatred and violence based on religious beliefs or ethnic affiliations.

At the conclusion of the forum, which was held in St. Petersburg over the past two days, the participants called for unifying efforts to preserve coexistence and cooperation among people, cultures and civilizations. They also called for  strengtheninh religious and societal dialogue with the aim of showcasing the truth of tolerant religious teachings and rejecting extremism and terrorism.

 

The participants underlined the necessity of exchanging scientific and religious experiences of combating extremist ideology between religious administrations, combating misinformation, rumors and extremist thought, immunizing young people, improving communication mechanisms with them, and enabling them to make optimal use of their energies.

The participants drew attention to the importance of respecting precautionary health measures to confront the Corona virus in places of worship.
