International Consultative Conference on Palestine kicks off in Tehran..Raisi says U.S. is Israel’s partner in aggression on Gaza
Activities of the High Level International Consultative Conference on Palestine kicked off in the Iranian Capital Tehran with the participation of more than 50 countries, including Syria.
The Syrian delegation is led by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad.
In a speech at the opening of the conference, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi said that the Palestinian cause is a pivotal issue for all freedom loving peoples of the world.
He held the United States and other supporters of “Israel” responsible for not reaching ceasefire so far in Gaza Strip.
Washington’s using the veto against every resolution proposed at the United Nations to stop the aggression against Gaza and its continued support for the Zionist entity, makes it a partner in the aggression and the genocide being committed in Gaza. He clarified that the horrific Isareli crimes in Gaza are carried out with absolute American support.
He pointed out that the Israeli occupation entity has violated more than 400 international resolutions and all international conventions.
Raisi also said that the continuity of the occupation does not give the Israeli entity any legitimacy or rights, stressing that the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves and determine their fate.
The Iranian President warned of the schemes plotted to displace the Palestinian people, calling on Washington not to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries, including Syria.
Raisi called for a new world order in which justice prevails, demanding that the siege on Gaza be lifted and the crossings opened to deliver humanitarian aid.
Abdollahian: U.S. hindering stoppage of Gaza war
For his part, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that the United States and its allies are the main obstacle to the stoppage of the Zionist aggression against Gaza Strip.
He pointed out that the issue of Palestine has always been a top priority for Iran, thanking the participants for their presence in the conference, which indicates their concern for human values and the Palestinian issue that has remained one of the unsolved issues for decades.
The foreign minister also noted that the UN Security Council has taken no effective measure to stop the Zionist massacre in Gaza.
