Russia, Venezuela, Islamic Action Front in Lebanon and Syrian students and communities in Hungary and Cuba have condemned the terror attack that occurred yesterday in al-Midan neighborhood in Damascus.
According to the Syrian News Agency (SANA), the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement released today: “We strongly condemn this bloody crime and we sympathize with victims’ families and wish the injured speed recovery. We are worry about extremists’ increasing attempts to hinder the cessation of hostilities and the process of rebuilding infrastructures in Syria.”
The statement stressed that Russia will continue coordination with Syrian government in fighting terrorism in Syria, calling on all international partners to adopt serious stances towards terrorism and extremism in the Middle East.
Another statement was issued by Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, which completely rejected terrorism and its supporters that seek to undermine the determination of Syrian people and government to get rid of terror attacks’ perpetrators’ threat.
The Venezuelan ministry expressed its deepest condolences to the Syrian government and people and to victims’ families, asserting its solidarity with them in confronting such attacks.
ISIS breathes its last breath
Meanwhile, the Islamic Action Front in Lebanon condemned yesterday’s terror attack in Damascus, saying: ” Terrorist groups desperately try to raise their morale through sending suicide bombers to residential areas to kill as many innocent people as possible. These attempts will never change the situation on the ground because ISIS breathes its last breath in Syria and Iraq. “
The Front referred to the connection between ISIS [Its Arabic acronym is Daesh] and many international intelligence agencies that implement agendas serving the US-Zionist plot in the region.
The terror attack that took place in Damascus yesterday reflects the hidden hatred of the perpetrators and their connection with foreign agendas that target Syria’s future and its security, according to Syrian students and communities in Hungary and Cuba.
The students and communities reiterated their support for the Syrian army, people and wise leadership in fighting terrorism.
Yesterday, a suicide terrorist infiltrated into the Midan Police station and clashed with policemen before blowing himself up. The blast took place after another suicide terrorist threw bombs on the station before blowing himself up at the main entrance of the station.
The two blasts killed scores of persons.
