International community should pressure Israel to stop its crimes against the Palestinians: Palestinian Foreign Ministry

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has renewed its call on the international community to assume its responsibility and pressure the Israeli occupation as to stop its continuous crimes against the Palestinians.

In a statement on Saturday, the ministry said that the occupation escalates its crimes in several Palestinian areas with the aim of displacing the Palestinians and implementing its settlement expansion plans, in an attempt to undermine all hopes for establishing the independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

The ministry added that the silence of the international community encourages the Israeli occupation to commit more crimes against the Palestinians, their lands and sanctities. It stressed that the international community should take decisive measures that end the occupation and enable the Palestinian people to restore their legitimate rights, foremost of which are the right to self determination and establishing an independent state.

On Friday, WAFA News Agency cited the Palestinian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that the Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett misses no opportunity to express his extremist ideology and his position that rejects peace and calls for the perpetuation of occupation and settlements.

Bennett has recently pledged not to abandon his position on the establishment of a Palestinian state, saying, “As long as I am prime minister, there will be no implementation of the Oslo agreement.”

“Bennett thus surpasses Netanyahu in his rejection of political negotiations with the Palestinians, by declaring that there will be no agreement with the Palestinian Authority that can lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state,” the foreign ministry said, according to WAFA
