International community’s silence over the Israeli settlement building crime indicate international collusion: Palestinian Foreign Ministry

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry has reaffirmed that the silence of the international community over the Israeli crime of settlement building is a kind of collusion with the occupation and a form of participation in this crime, stressing that this silence gives Israel the time to complete its crime and form a cover to impose a fait accompli.

In a statement reported by WAFA news agency, the ministry clarified that the Israeli occupation is expanding settlement operations in the West Bank to implement colonial annexation plans and eliminate any opportunity for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Al-Quds as its capital.

The ministry reiterated that the mere condemnation of settlement building without taking any effective measures to compel the occupation to stop its settlement expansion on the land of Palestine reflects the international collusion with Israeli settlement policy and indicates that the international community has abandoned its legal and moral responsibilities towards this heinous crime.
