International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO 2021) kicks off with Syria’s participation

Competitions of the International Chemistry Olympiad (ICHO 2021) kicked off on Wednesday with the participation of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad team.

79 countries are taking part in this event, which is organized virtually by Japan.

The Distinction and Creativity Agency said in a statement that the Syrian team comprises the students:  Maha Ali from Tartous, Anas Abbas from Homs, Ahmad Al-Attar from Aleppo and Ali Maarouf from the National Center for the Distinguished.

The contestants will undergo theoretical tests for 5 continuous hours.

This is the Syrian team’s 12th successive participation in this Olympiad.
