Interior Minister holds talks with Arab counterparts on cooperation in combating smuggling and controlling borders
Tunis- On the sidelines of the 41st session of the Arab Interior Ministers Council, being held in Tunisia, the Syrian Interior Minister Mohammad Al-Rahmoun on Tuesday held talks with his Iraqi counterpart Abdul-Amir al-Shammari on enhancing security cooperation, particularly in the field of combating smuggling and controlling borders.
The two sides discussed on ways to jointly confront all forms of organized crime which endangers the security of the two brotherly countries.
In addition, Al-Rahmoun met with Rector of the Naif Arab University for Security Sciences Abdulmajeed bin Abdullah Albanyan and reviewed with him prospects of cooperation in the field of security training and qualification
Al-Rahmoun stressed the need to reactivate cooperation and exchange scientific expertise in different security domains, particularly fighting all forms of new and emerging crimes.
For his part, Albanyan asserted the university’s readiness to provide all support and necessary facilitations to reactivate joint scientific cooperation regarding training and qualifying human resources at the Syrian Ministry of Interior.
