Information Minister: We will Go to Geneva to Dialogue with National Opposition

DAMASCUS,(ST)_ Information Minister OmranZou’bi said  that the Syrian government will go to Geneva  to dialogue with an independent national  opposition who has a project , a program and a real political vision  and  will not  engage in dialogue with terrorists, who shed the blood of the Syrians , neither  shake hands with detonators of booby trapped cars  and  those who attacked the Syrian Army , assassinated the Syrian people and stole and looted institutions.

In  an interview with the Syrian TV yesterdayZou’bi said that  convening of the Geneva Conference needs  objective  and essential conditions , especially  Turkey and neighboring countries  closure of  border with Syria in the face of terrorists and  weapons , and Saudi Arabia and Qatar  stop sending  money and terrorists .

Zou’bi pointed out that the Syrian government is the first to put forward the political process as a solution since  the beginning of the crisis , but some internal parties rejected that at the support of well-known countries that bet on dramatic developments and events in Syria leading to the overthrow of the state .

He stressed that all who conspired  on the Syrian  State , and caused the killing of her children will be held accountable according to international law, noting that  the Syrian

government called on the national  opposition abroad which has a national project to return to Syria for dialogue on the Syrian  soil in these historic moments .

” Syria is facing  global terrorism supported by Turkey , Saudi Arabia , Qatar , basically , and  this  terrorist network  is subject to an American  reference, a manager and one goal set for it  on  how , where and when to fight,” Zou’bi said.

Zou’bi pointed out that this policy has placed terrorism on the borders of Europe, and that by the  end , these terrorists will leave  Syria and Turkey will be the only outlet for them to Europe and Jordan, the only outlet for them to the Gulf countries .

He continued  that the  Turkish Prime Minister RecepTayyipErdogan acted in unmatched  foolishness  and stupidity  and dragged Turkey into  implicated and  big problems with all neighboring countries , beside  to what is happening internally in Turkey.

Zou’bi explained that the Saudi government has ruined and destroyed a lot in Syria , being a   key part of the aggression against the Syrian people and allowed secret organizations  financing terrorists with  billions of dollars , besides being the worst  model in the current era in terms of dealing with human rights.

Zou’bi pointed out that Saudi Arabia is responsible for what is happening in Iraq of  organized terrorism carried out by al-Qaeda groups  to topple the Iraqi state as part of the  Gulf project and the American-Israeli project in the region.

The Minister stressed that  the  military situation on the ground is good and the Syrian army is  at its best in defending  Syria and tackling organized global terrorism  and will not stop doing so before it restores full security to the Syrian territory.

Zou’bi pointed out that UN Security Council Resolution No. 2118 speaks of commitment to the sovereignty of Syria ,its unity and territorial integrity , endsviolations of some countries  of UN  Charter and prevents them from using force or the threat of  using it by any  party outside the framework of the UN , besides it holds  countries supporting terrorist groups responsible ,  in the event that  those groups re-use chemical weapon .

Zou’bi explained that the UN Security Council Resolution  is a translation of the Russian initiative approved by Syria on the basis of its confidence  on the  Russian leadership , adding that the Syrian response to the Russian initiative confused others who bet on possible U.S. aggression on Syria and the developments that could arise politically and on the ground.

Zou’bi stressed that the use of chemical weapons by terrorists in rural Damascus was an introduction for  the U.S. threat of aggression against Syria, planned by  intelligence of countries which felt incapable of dismantling the Syrian state .

He said  that the Western countries , particularly the USA refused to  expand the authority of the UN  investigators to determine who was using chemical weapons because they were aware that  terrorist groups did that  and had delayed the arrival of the investigators to Syria for more than five months .

The Minister said  that the political settlement that took place in Geneva between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his U.S. counterpart John Kerry proved that the U.S. is no longer the only force in the world capable of imposing its policy and terms, wherever  and whenever it wants, a fact  recognized by Kerry.

Zou’bi said the Syrian diplomacy has been always working to dismantle all the traps , placed in front of the Syrian state in order to discourage its  national  and political principles and  alliances and on this ground Syria  dealt positively with the Russian initiative .

The Minister considered   that  the talkon  Syria waiving its  deterrence strategy  paper in favor of (Israel ) comes from the logic of the vanquished who is trying to claim to be victorious , adding that since 2003 , Syria has been demanding the evacuation of  the Middle East from weapons of mass destruction but  the US refused to do so because it means dismantling Israeli  chemical and nuclear weapons of mass destruction .

Zou’bi stressed that Syria is still committed to national and pan – Arab principles relating to all regional issues , particularly the Palestinian issue, and  is still sticking to all its ideological ideas and  values.
