Information Minister: We face media terrorism that is being orchestrated by certain countries

Information Minister Imad Sarah stresses that Syria faces organized media terrorism to undermine its resistance.
 
He made it clear that Syria faces the worst forms of terrorism being practiced by its enemies.
 
“These forms of terrorism include armed terrorism that aims to destroy the infrastructures of the country and the Takfiri terrorism and the unjust blockade as well as media terrorism that works on demonizing everything in Syria with the aim of turning it into a failed country,” the minister said addressing the 10th meeting of the General Assembly of the 8slamic TV and Radio Unions (IRTVU) kicked off on Tuesday in Tehran.
 
He added that the title of the meeting “Media Justice and Freedom of Expression” has many signals and raises many questions such as : Is there media justice or are we living in a state of organized information terrorism which is being practiced by certain countries to undermine resistance ??
 
The Minister referred to the fact that Syrian national media offered 40 martyrs for Syria and its sovereignty.  He added that over 60 Syrian Journalists were injured as they were embedded with Syrian army soldiers in pursuit of terrorism to cover what is going on on the ground.
 
Sarah pointed out that the vision and the steadfastness of President Bashar Al-Assad have been the guideline in the media war, saying that the  unity of people in the recent presidential elections reflects the meaning of victory over Syria’s enemies.
 
He in addition talked about the 4th generation warfare that aims to cause destruction, motivates society against the state and government and kills children, women and elderly people, who are considered just numbers.
 
The minister concluded by saying that joint work would lead to achieving common goals regarding just causes despite the fact that hostile media outlets possess modern tools in all fields.
