The attack claimed the lives martyrs: Mohammad Mantash, a photographer, Hamza Haj Hasan, a reporter and Halim Allaw, a technician.
The Syrian government, the Presidency Media Office and all the Syrian media institutions condemned the crime and extended their condolences to al-Manar TV and the families of the martyrs.
In a phone call with al-Manar TV last night, Information Minister Omran al-Zou’bi said targeting the three Lebanese journalists was one of the crimes of takfiri terrorism in Syria, pointing out that such terrorist attacks had targeted the Syrian national media and other channels representing different countries.
On behalf of the Information Ministry, the Media National Council, Journalists’ Union and all the Syrian media staff, al-Zou’bi extended both congratulations and condolences to al-Manar TV, the Lebanese national resistance and the families of the martyrs on the martyrdom of al-Manar TV team who were doing their job in Maaloula.
The minister pointed out that the terrorist war being waged on Syria “is to decide the destiny of the nation, Arabism, Islam and Christianity in the region. Today’s martyrs and the ones before have sacrificed for national duty, so they will continue to be the source of pride and the light of truth in the world.”
He affirmed confidence that Syria and the national resistance will defeat the enemies who conspired on Syria, including Arab and Western leaders as well as terrorist gangs and takfiri groups.
The terrorists’ crimes against different media representatives aim to silence the voice of truth and prevent the public opinion from realizing the reality of what is going on in Syria.
