Information Minister: Syria Fights al-Qaeda Affiliated Terrorist Organizations

DAMASCUS,(ST)_Information Minister Omran Al-Zoubi  stressed that Syria  is facing a war whose two sides are the Syrian people and  al-Qaeda affiliated terrorist organizations which are directly  supported by Qatar ,the Turkish government and countries having  agendas in the region.

During his  meeting on Sunday  with an Indian  journalists and jurists  delegation headed by Feroz Meite Bo Wala, the minister pointed  to the Turkish role in supporting  the armed terrorist groups the  Qatari  funding for these groups under the auspices of American, French and some European countries that sell  them arms, and the role by Israeli companies in this regard.

The Minister pointed  out that Zoubi  preparations targeting Syria began in 2006 after the defeat of Israel at the hands of the Lebanese resistance , supported by  Syria because they wanted Syria to pay for this defeat, noting  that a lot of foreign terrorists from Iakfiri  organizations from about 29 countries are  engaged in the war  against Syria, after   hundreds of them were released  from jails in Arab and foreign countries .

The Minister stressed that confronting these terrorist organizations which can threaten the stability of any country requires a regional and international strategy so that the world can challenge them, noting that the Qatari financial flow and the Turkish Logistic support makes this task difficult.

The Minister also noted India’s role and positive attitude concerning the crisis in Syria in refusing foreign interference in Syrian internal affairs, as a reflection of India’s commitment to international conventions, saying that India can play a major role to push countries stop interfering in Syrian affairs.

The Minister pointed the friendly relations between the two countries and India’s clear position regarding the Arab-Israeli conflict and particularly its support for Syria’s right to restore the occupied Golan, stressing that India’s positions come in recognition of these relationships.

He considered the visit of the Indian delegation as an opportunity to see what is happening in Syria directly on the ground and to convey the truth. He welcomed media cooperation between the two countries in order to unmask the nature of terrorist organizations and countries standing behind them.

Head of the Indian delegation, for his par, referred to Syria’s stances concerning the Arab-Israeli conflict and in support of the resistance, saying that Syria is targeted in order to weaken its role in the region.
