DAMASCUS – Information Minister Mohammad Ramez Tourjman affirmed that the re-launching of the Damascus International Fair after a pause for years and the large participation in it locally and internationally are evidence of the victory of Syria and the return of life to it, SANA reported.

During a tour with the Secretary General of the Islamic Radios & Televisions Union “IRTVU” Ali Karimian on the fairground, Tourjman told reporters that the Ministry, since the first day of announcing the re-launch of the exhibition, has developed a special media plan to cover its events.

The Minister also inspected the media center, pointing out that the center will provide various media services and will be supported by all kinds of equipment to cover this important and exceptional event. He referred to the full cooperation between the Ministry and all institutions and media channels inside and outside Syria.

He highlighted the role of the IRTVU which includes more than 200 media outlets, saying it has always been supportive of Syria and its media.

In turn, Karimian stressed that the establishment of Damascus International Fair is a proof of the victory of Syria’s people, state, army and allies against terrorism as it also represents the message of the steadfastness of the infrastructure and the launching of the reconstruction phase despite the huge support provided by countries to terrorist organizations fighting in Syria and their efforts to destroy it.
