Information Minister Hails Role Played by Syrian Youths in Exposing Terrorists’ Lies on Social Media
DAMASCUS, (ST)- Information Minister Imad Sarah has stressed that since the beginning of the foreign-backed terrorist war on Syria the Syrian media has been standing side by side with the Syrian Arab army in defending Syria and it has proved notable ability to withstand the huge media campaign launched against Syria by powerful media empires.
Meeting participants in the 1st Youth Media Forum on Tuesday, Sarah talked about stories of Syrian journalists who were martyred or wounded during their mission to expose the reality of events in the country and uncover the misinformation practiced by several TV channels like al-Jazeera, al-Arabyyia and others.

During the forum, which was held under the title “Media War on Syria…Seven Years of Misinformation”, Sarah hailed the role played by the Syrian youths on social media in uncovering the truth. He clarified that the coming battle of the Syrian Arab army in Eastern Ghouta necessitates double efforts on the social media by the youths to convey the truth and refute the lies which the terrorists have started to promote via several anti-Syria media outlets.
In a statement following the meeting, Sarah said the Syrian youths realize what is going on in Syria and they are able backup the Syrian army in its war on terrorism and in the confrontation of the intellectual war being waged on the country, praising the youths’ role in building stronger Syria.
