Infighting between Terror Groups Expands to Idleb Southern Countryside

IDLEB, (ST)- A week after infighting between Jabhat al-Nusra  terrorist organization and the so-called “National Liberation Front” (NLF) had erupted and al-Nusra Terrorists had established full control over the entire Aleppo western countryside, new fierce battles began between the two rival groups in Idleb southern countryside. The ongoing infighting claimed the lives of scores of terrorists from both sides.

Local sources in Idleb southern countryside said that Jabhat al-Nusra brought huge reinforcements and deployed them close to the positions of the so-called “National Liberation Front” Terrorist group and other allied takfiri entities in the area.

According to the sources, fierce clashes erupted between the two sides and ended up  in  Jabhat al-Nustar establishing contol over part of “Safohen” town and the villages of al-Naqeer, Abdeen, Ereinbeh, Stouh al-Deir, al-Qassabiyeh and Karsa’a In Idleb southern countryside. In parallel, the terrorists of “Ahrar al-Sham” group and the NLF attacked the positions of Jabhat al-Nusra in Heish town in the area, the sources added.

A number of civilians including a woman were injured in the clashes between the terrorist groups at the axis of Heish, Babila and al-Hbeit towns in the southern countryside of Idleb, the sources pointed out.
 
Areas of infighting witnessed terrorists’ storming of civilians’ houses. The terrorists of “Ahrar al-Sham” movement stormed locals’ houses in al-Hbeit village to seaerch for wanted persons. During the operation the terrorists opened fire, injuring a woman.

In addition, the rival terrorist groups forced civilians in the terrorist-held areas to take to the streets in support for them.

Local sources said that the people of Kafrouma were forced by the NLF terrorists to announce their solidarty with the terrorist group in this town in order to repel the attacks of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists on the area, while in fact, the people want to save their villages and towns the ongoing battales and reject the presence of any of the terrorist groups in their areas.
