India expressed its concern over the Israeli aggression that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus last Monday.
“The Hindu” newspaper quoted Randhir Jaiswal, spokesman for the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, as saying in a weekly press release: “India is concerned about the Israeli attack that targeted the headquarters of the Iranian consulate in Damascus at the beginning of this month,” calling for avoiding measures that contradict the recognized principles and norms of international law.
Jaiswal added that New Delhi regrets the escalating tensions in the WestAsian region and the possibility that they will fuel further violence and instability.
Last Monday, the Israeli enemy launched an air aggression from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, destroying the entire building, killing and injuring everyone inside, as well as causing injuries and damage in the surrounding area.
