Syria beats China 2-1 within Asia, world Cup qualifiers

UAE - Syria’s national football team beat China 2-1 in a match that was held in the UAE within the qualifiers for Asia and World Cup finals.

With this win, Syria topped Group A with 12 points, while China ranked second with 7 points.

Osama Omari (19th min) and Omar Khraben scored for our team.

Syria wins 13 medals in the Arab kickboxing championship

 Tunisia - Syria’s national kickboxing team won 13 medals (4 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze) in the 11th Arab kickboxing championship (Men and Women) which is currently held in Amman, Jordan.

It is to be mentioned that our team ranked third in this championship.

Syria wins two medals in bodybuilding at World Bodybuilding Championship

Syria’s bodybuilding team won one silver medal and one bronze medal at World bodybuilding Championship which is currently held in UAE.

Rami Okyl (Classic, 171 cm) won the silver medal, while Mahmoud Al-Shukhri (Classic, 171 cm) won the bronze medal.

It is to be mentioned that many players  from 60 countries and 29 Syrian players (all categories) participated in the competition.

Marathon race in Damascus

On the occasion of National Environment Day and under the title of (We protect our environment with our cooperation), 350 athletes from the General sports Federation, Clubs and schools participated in a marathon race from Umayyad Square towards Victoria  bridge passing Al-Marja square, reaching Damascus Citadel.

Al-A’reen sport team topped the race.

Most of the players participated in the race to encourage voluntary  work to protect our environment.

It is to be mentioned that many trees were planted around Damascus during the race.

Hamshou wins the Grand Prix of the second stage of International Peace Championship

Syrian Equestrian Ahmad Hamshou won the Grand Prix of the second stage of International Peace Championship which was held in Saif Al-Sham Club, Damascus countryside.

Hamshou ranked first as he finished the race of (145 cm) in (42.92 sec), while Omar Hamshou ranked second and Sham Al-Assad ranked third.

It is to be mentioned that Equestrian Sham Al-Assad won the Grand Prix of the first stage of the Championship last week.
