Syrian handball team beats its Palestinian counterpart in Asian Championship in Amman

AMMAN, (ST)_ The Syrian women’s handball team beats its Palestinian counterpart 13-47 in the Asian Women's Handball Championship, which is being held in Amman from 15 to 25 September 2021. 
 
The Syrian team that also beat its Kuwaiti counterpart at the beginning of the championship 28-32 and lost to its Jordanian counterpart 24-28,  lost yesterday to its Japanese counterpart 7-43. 

Syria's tennis team defeats Sri Lanka and tops its Davis Cup group

Amman (ST): Syria's men's tennis team achieved an important victory over Sri Lanka today, 3-0, in Group C in the first round of the Davis Cup, which is being held in Jordan.

Our team beat Jordan 3-0 yesterday, topping its group and qualifying for the next round of the tournament, where it will meet the winner of the Kuwait-Malaysia match tomorrow. If our team wins the next match, it qualifies for the second world group of the tournament.

Our team's consists of team manager Wassim Zinnia, coach Robert Makhzouma, and players Karim Al-Allaf, Hazem Nou, Yacoub Makhzouma and Amer Nou.

Al-Thawra qualifies for the final match of the Arab Women's Basketball Club Championship

Amman (ST): Al-Thawra Club qualified for the final match of the Arab Clubs Basketball Championship held in Jordan, by defeating the Jordanian Orthodox, with a score of 97-74 points, in the match that brought them together in the semi-finals.

Syrian national football team ties with UAE in world Cup qualifiers of Qatar 2022

The Syrian national football team tied with its UAE counterpart 1-1 in world Cup qualifiers of Qatar 2022 , at al-Quweismeh Stadium in Jordan.

The UAE team scored first at the 12th minute through Ali Mabkhout, while the Syrian team scored draw goal through Mahmoud al-Bahr in the 64th minute.

The Syrian national team lost to Iran 1-0 in the opening match at Azadi Stadium in Tehran.

Syrian Olympic football team ties with its Jordanian counterpart 2-2

The friendly match between the Syrian Olympic football team and its Jordanian counterpart ended on Tuesday with a draw 2-2. 
 
The football match was played in Amman within a training camp during which the Syrian team is preparing  for Asian U-23 Cup qualifiers.
