Mr. Qallaa stressed the need to work on developing economic and trade cooperation between the two countries and looking for commercial investment opportunities and holding exhibitions and festivals selling Syrian products there and supplying Mauritanian products to Syria.

A number of members of the Board of Directors of the Chamber pointed to the need to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between the two countries through facilitations for businessmen to explore industrial, tourism, agricultural and other investment opportunities and establish direct transport lines for people and products.

For his part, the head of the Mauritanian delegation, Mohamed Wild Vall, expressed his country’s keenness to develop economic and trade relations with Syria, noting the fields of investment in his country like extracting mineral resources such as gold, iron, copper, in addition to investment in fish and animal resources and agricultural lands.

A number of members of the delegation called on Syrian businessmen to visit Mauritania for investment opportunities in the fields of trade, industry and agriculture, indicating that business visas are granted directly at the airport without any obstacles and that the laws governing investment in Mauritania provide the necessary facilitations for investors.
