Increasing Escalation

In fact, the recent US political escalation towards the Syrian government refers to two important issues. Firstly, the US and its regional and western allies had failed in their war against the Syrian people despite their desperate attempts to achieve military gains in most of the Syrian provinces. Second, the foreign powers also have not been able to destabilize the coalition of the axis of resistance and the Russian ally.

Moreover, the meeting which was held recently in Tehran, which joined the defense ministers of Syria, Iran and Russia, stressed the need for the alliance between the axis of resistance and Russia to coordinate their efforts on fighting terrorism.

Indeed, the re-threat of external intervention and the so-called safe zones in Syria contrasts with the international discourse, which emphasizes that no solution to the crisis in Syria, but a political one.

Besides, the foreign interference contrasts with the goals of Geneva Conference that affirmed basically on respect for the Syrians’ right in determining their political choices.

It is time for all parties who conspired on the Syrian people to realize that their dirty war on the Syrians has failed. These parties are committing a big mistake in their bet on terrorism and external pressure and military intervention in Syria. For this reason they should reconsider their stances and stop the bloodshed in Syria, otherwise it will be extended to a large areas of the world.
