In Waiting for Deeds!
“We have to negotiate in the end,” declared US Secretary of State, John Kerry, in commitment to a political solution for the ongoing crisis in Syria. Yesterday’s statements by Mr. Kerry, are indeed welcome by the wise worldwide. Actually, supporting terrorism- ‘moderate’, ‘non-moderate’ lead but to destruction, slaughter and suffering while engaging in serious and genuine exchange of ideas and experience on how to fight terrorism and rid the globe from such a chronic mushrooming cancer is in the interest of all.
The guardian of Syria, H.E. President Bashar Al-Assad, has been, in his Foreign Affairs Magazine interview, January 26th, 2015, so clear and transparent in stating that ” Syria is the heart of the Middle East. Everybody knows that. If the Middle East is sick, the whole world will be unstable. In 1991, when we started the peace process, we had a lot of hope. Now, after over 20 years, things are not at square one; they’re much below that square. So the policy should be to help peace in the region, to fight terrorism, to promote secularism, to support this area economically, to help upgrade the mind and society like you did in your country. That is the supposed mission of the United States, not to launch wars. Launching war doesn’t make you a great power.”
Syria is open since day one of the crisis, mainly planned and made outside the country, to talk with all, and firstly with its citizens, among whom some were unaware of the sinister conspiracy and the in-waiting dangers and risks looming ahead! Thus, third parties were involved firing randomly at all, where all accused each others, before the exposure of the real conspiracy against Syria!
We seek the best relations of cooperation, friendship and fighting terrorism with the USA as well as all worldwide as to cleanse Syria and the world from al-Qaeda Wahabi affiliates. According to earlier revelations Joe Biden, the US Vice-president, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and United Arab Emirates have funded and armed Al Nusra, Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups. The declarations were made by Biden, at a time when the US Congressman John McCain took proud in having direct and daily contact with ISIS terrorists and other criminals in Syria and Iraq! McCain touted that he’s “vetted a number of them-terrorists- because I know them.” Yes they make part of what they call the “American-Zionist-Wahabi Islam!”
It was the former US Secretary of State Hilary Clinton herself, who said in statements before the 2-day US House of Appropriations Committee on April 24-25, 2009: ”let`s remember here… the people we are fighting today we funded them twenty years ago…and great, let them come from Saudi Arabia and other countries, importing their Wahabi brand of Islam.”
The need is indeed dire for US deeds and not merely words as to be an active member in the ongoing fight by the Syrians against terrorism, especially amid repeated reorts that the CIA was a major conduit for the transfer of weapons from Libya to Syria? We are also told that the US assisted in the logistics of delivering a Saudi-bankrolled transfer of Croatian weapons in 2012 to Syrian ‘rebels.’ According to the BBC: “The CIA is also reported to have been instrumental in setting up the alleged secret airlift of weapons from Croatia. And here is The Telegraph‘s take on things: “The shipments were allegedly paid for by Saudi Arabia at the bidding of the United States, with assistance on supplying the weapons organized through Turkey and Jordan, Syria’s neighbors.” Answered Biden.
Actually, the frequent news reports and information, including those by the Washington-Post, New York Times, CNN and other US media means, regarding the US logistic support, training, and its intelligence information sharing with armed terrorist groups targeting everything Syrian, raise almost the eyebrows of every Syrian, filling them, at least, with anger! The Syrians, who saved many of American lives in the aftermath of Sept.11th terrorist attacks, have done their best to have a relation with the US based on reciprocal respect, understanding, and joint cooperation against every form of terrorism, extremism and backwardness.
”America was behind Syria’s violence…. And I tell the Americans: ‘You must read well what you did in Afghanistan and Somalia. I don’t understand your slogan of fighting international terrorism when you are supporting this terrorism in Syria. We believe that the USA is the major player against Syria and the rest are its instruments.” said Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem, On August 28th, 2012, to Robert Fisk of the Independent. And now the need is dire for a US U-Turn as to refrain from its heavy sticks and blood shedding policies.
