In support of Palestine ….A demonstration in Britain demanding an end to the arming of Israel

A demonstration in support of the Palestinian people blocked the entrances to a military factory in the south-east of Britain, calling for an end to arms sales to Israel.

Reuters reported that dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters blocked the entrances to a BAE Systems Factory in Rochester, a county in the south-east of Britain today, demanding an end to arms sales to Israel. They raised Palestinian flags and held up a sign saying “Stop Arming Israel”.

It is known that BAE tests and assembles electronic equipment used in military aircraft and surveillance systems.

The protest at the British facility follows actions taken by unions in Belgium and Spain that refused to handle shipments of military materials due to the war in Gaza،

The freight forwarders ‘Union at the port of Barcelona earlier this week refused to load or unload any military materials, and the Belgian transport workers’ unions also called on their members not to deal with military equipment sent to Israel late last month.

There have been regular demonstrations in cities across Europe in recent weeks in support of the Palestinians in Gaza.
