In Solidarity with Palestine… Mass Rallies in Iraq and Lebanon

Trade unions, grass-roots communities and parties continued their solidarity today with Palestine and the victims of the brutal crimes committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the Gaza Strip, targeting innocent civilians and hospitals.

In Iraq, the Unions of Doctors, Journalists, Dentists and Pharmacists organized solidarity vigils with the Palestinian people, the participants of which stressed the need to lift the criminal siege being imposed on the Gaza Strip.

According to the al-Sumaria News Website, the head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Moayad Al-Lami, stated that the syndicate will hold an emergency meeting of the Federation of Arab Trade Unions with a view to take “important” decisions, most notably the filing of a lawsuit in the competent courts.

In Lebanon, in the presence of representatives of Palestinian factions, Lebanese parties, committees and popular activities, a solidarity mass stand in support of the Palestinian people was organized in tyre.

The participants stressed that the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation was a resounding defeat for the usurping enemy, and called on the people of the nation and the free people of the world to support the Palestinian people until they achieve their full rights.
