In front of President al-Assad, the Minister of Defense and the Syrian ambassadors to China and Armenia take the constitutional and legal oath

On May 10, 2022

General Ali Mahmoud Abbas was sworn in today in front of President Bashar al-Assad as Minister of Defense.

President al-Assad received the Minister of Defense and provided him with his directives, wishing him success in carrying out his responsibilities.

The ambassadors to China and Armenia also took the legal oath in front of President al-Assad. Muhammad Hassanein Khalil Khaddam, took the oath as ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the People’s Republic of China, and Dr. Nora Mardiros Arissian, as ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to the Republic of Armenia.

After that, President al-Assad received the two new ambassadors, provided them with directions, and wished them success in their missions.

The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, and Mansour Azzam, Minister of Presidential Affairs.
