In an attempt to suppress popular demonstrations, the SDF militia brings thousands of its gunmen to Manbij

Aleppo (ST): The US-backed SDF militia  has brought thousands of its gunmen to the city of Manbij in the northern countryside of Aleppo to reinforce its forces deployed in the city, which has witnessed large demonstrations and widespread popular strikes for nearly a week, condemning its criminal practices and calling for its expulsion.

Local sources in the city said that about 5,000 of the so-called internal security forces “Asayish” and the so-called “anti-terrorism forces” affiliated with the “SDF militia” began to enter the city since dawn today, accompanied by more than 40 armored vehicles and four-wheel-drive vehicles equipped with various machine guns in the city in an attempt to suppress the ongoing popular demonstrations in the city against the militia and its criminal practices.

The sources pointed out that calls to continue demonstrations and strikes by the city’s residents to condemn the militia and its crimes in the city and its affiliated areas have increased since last night, which prompted the militia to send large reinforcements from its armed men in an attempt to repress and control these demonstrations.

The Syrian Arab tribes in the city of Aleppo and its countryside affirmed in a statement the day before yesterday their full support for our people in the city of Manbij, who came out to denounce the SDF militia, demanding for its expulsion from their areas and the defense of Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity in the face of the plans of the American occupation and its separatist militias.
