(ST)- Industry Minister Kamal Eddin Tomah underlined the need for continued cooperation and coordination between the Chambers of Industry and the Ministry of Industry to resolve the problems of industrialists to facilitate industrial action and enhances the competitiveness of the national industry.
Mr. Tomah, during a meeting of the Board of Directors of Damascus Chamber of Industry recently emphasized the importance of participatory between the public and Industry Minister private sectors and establishing joint ventures between them, pointing out that the Ministry of Industry has introduced many of the public companies for participatory with the private sector to invest energies and take advantage of the capabilities available in public companies to the interest of both parties, meets the needs of the domestic market and export to foreign markets.
The Minister indicated to the government’s task during this phase in the rehabilitation of infrastructure and the provision of services to the industrial areas; calling all industrialists who have left the country to return to the home and restart their facilities and move the wheel of production so as to contribute to the development of the national economy. He stressed that industrial public sector has gradually entered the recovery phase, where 16 companies returned to work and production.
For his part, Chairman of Damascus Chamber of Industry Bassel Hamwi confirmed that there is great cooperation between the Chamber and the Ministry of Industry, which contributed significantly to the treatment of all the obstacles faced by industrialists, noting that the chamber is working to develop a plan for the development and rehabilitation of industrial facilities and work to ensure the success of the motto “Made in Syria”.
