The committee concerned with the unified electronic stamp at the Ministry of Finance carried out the first trials of issuing this stamp to replace all types of stamps used in transactions.
During the meeting of the committee today, chaired by the Minister of Finance, Dr. KinanYaghi, it was confirmed that the conditions approved by the committee were met according to the study on the electronic stamp in terms of simplifying procedures.
The unified electronic stamp includes a quick response code “QR” to enable the citizen to verify that the stamp is actually issued by the electronic stamp system in the Ministry of Finance, and that this information has been transferred to the central database of the tax administration.
Minister Yaghi asked the tax administration to communicate directly with all public agencies to organize the process of programming their services and stamps related to them on the electronic stamp system starting tomorrow.
He stressed the need to accurately test equipment and software and train relevant and accredited workers to achieve full readiness before offering the service to citizens.
The electronic stamp system will gradually start from the governorate of Damascus, before the end of the first quarter of this year.
