IMF Managing Director: We will help Syria rebuild its institutions and return to the global economy

The IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva stated that we will help Syria rebuild its institutions and return to the global economy.

She noted that Syria’s participation in the IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings is the first in 20 years.

She added that officials from the two international financial institutions met with Syrian officials, other finance ministers, and key stakeholders to discuss the country’s reconstruction.
