Idlib Governor: Allowing  people to return to Maarat al-Numan in the liberated Idlib countryside, next week

In accordance with the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, the governor of Idlib, Thaer Salhab, said that the people would be  allowed to return to the city of Maarat al-Numan in the liberated Idlib countryside, starting next week.

The governor added: “In parallel with the return of the people to the city of Maarat al-Numan, the work of rebuilding the infrastructure and service facilities will be launched in the city, which was subjected during the last period to extensive sabotage by armed terrorist groups, before it was defeated by the Syrian Arab Army.”

The governor indicated that the rebuilding work will include electricity, water, roads, telephone and other services that people need in their lives, and will be carried out gradually, according to the available capabilities and available conditions.

It is noteworthy that the cities of Maarat al-Numan, Khan Sheikhoun and many other towns and villages in the southern countryside of Idlib were liberated from terrorism by the Syrian Arab Army, about two years ago.
