The National Center for Visual Arts in Damascus, in cooperation with “Shaghaf” Art Center, held an exhibition for children entitled “I am the Painting”.
About 150 children participated in the event, which was opened on Thursday, to show distinguished spontaneous paintings besides a wonderful fashion show.
Dr. Ghiath Al-Akhras, the Director of the National Center for Visual Arts said to the Syria Times e-newspaper: “The exhibition shows a new spirit and a new vision, and this is what the visitors can see.”
“The children’s talents and their experiences are developing day by day, and there is a remarkable improvement in their imagination and vision”.
The children love and trust their teachers, who work with them sincerely ,” Al-Akhras added.
For her part, Reem Al-Hayek, the director of the “Shaghaf” Art Center said : “The paintings in the exhibition reflect the talents of children and their vision toward life “.
“Unlike the previous exhibitions, the event this year includes the art of scenography and fashion show, where the children brought old clothes and inserted emojis on them to show the fashion of their designs,” Al-Hayek added.
A group of children expressed their happiness for participating in the exhibition, asserting that they learned the basics of drawing and expressed joy, dance, love, and beauty through their paintings.
