Deir Ezzor (ST) – On the occasion of the International Youth Day, and in cooperation with the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs, Deir Ezzor governorate held an event that included artistic and theatrical segments and a documentary film screening, in addition to holding a dialogue session that addressed the importance of the role of youth and the problems they face.
The event, which was held under the title “I am able, I can” at the governorate’s General Secretariat Auditorium, was attended by a number of civil society organizations, community activities and initiatives operating in different areas of Deir Ezzor.
The Director of the Office of the Syrian Commission for Family and Population Affairs in the governorate, Najlaa Al-Naif, stated that the event comes within the framework of caring for the youth, the most important category in society, which is responsible for the advancement of society at present and in the future.
It is noteworthy that the celebration of the International Youth Day was approved by the United Nations in 2000, with the aim of focusing the attention of societies on youth issues and celebrating their capabilities as partners, as it was recommended to organize public activities to support this occasion with the aim of spreading awareness of the World Youth Program of Action.
