Hungary opposes new package of European sanctions against Russia

Hungary expressed its opposition to the new package of European sanctions against Russia.

The Russian Tass news agency reported that Budapest vetoed a new package of sanctions against Russia at a meeting of EU ambassadors on Wednesday, and also opposed a proposal to double EU funding to supply Ukraine and other countries with weapons.

The European Commission presented on Wednesday another package of sanctions against Russia, including nearly 200 individuals and legal entities, three banks, four television channels and defense industry companies.
