Hungarian Hollywood Council produces film on Syrian artist

BUDAPEST, (ST)_Hungarian Hollywood Council has announced that it has produced a portrait film about the prominent Syrian artist Bahjat Iskandar. 
 
The film entitled “The Artist of Light” will take part in the 34th film festival to be held in Lakitelek city on November 17-19 on the anniversary of the passing away of the Oparter  Shara Shandro, according to the council.  
 
It is worth mentioning  that the Syrian artist Bahjat Iskander  moved to Hungary in 1967 to continue his studies  and took part in many international exhibitions and won  more than 100 prizes. 
 
He was awarded the Order of Merit with the rank of Knight from the President of the Republic of Hungary in 2008. He was also awarded the Order of Merit with the rank of Officer in 2012, and in 2019 he was awarded the highest ministerial decoration given in Bulgaria.
