Hundreds of Syrians Gather at UN Mission Headquarters to Condemn Zionist Aggression on Gaza, Voice Solidarity with Palestinian People

DAMASCUS, (ST)- Hundreds of Syrians gathered yesterday at the UN Mission’s headquarters  in Damascus to voice solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza in the face of the ongoing savage Israeli aggression and to condemn the Arab silence towards the US and West-backed genocide against the Palestinians.

Participants urged people across the Arab homeland to confront the heinous Israeli aggression on the besieged Palestinian people who are suffering under the complete silence and inaction of the world. They affirmed that the Zionist aggression on Gaza was part of the conspiracies targeting the Arab countries, particularly Syria which has been facing an unprecedented global conspiracy.

In a statement addressing the UN Chief, the participants expressed their anger over the Zionist crimes against the people of Gaza, particularly children and women. They called on international organizations to act immediately to stop the Israeli massacres against the Palestinians, save souls and properties and ensure enough protection to children, women and the elderly.

“The Zionists’ crimes of killings and destruction in the occupied Palestinian lands threaten international peace and security, violate human rights and international laws and prove that the Zionist entity is based on terrorism and aggression,” the statement said, stressing that resistance will continue to be a nightmare haunting the Zionists.

A participant in the gathering condemned the weakness of the Arab rulers, particularly the Gulf ones who keep silent while Gaza is being slaughtered and who have been sparing no effort to destabilize Syria.

Another participant denounced the UN double standard policy towards human rights, stressing that the UN deliberately ignores the rights of the Palestinian people who are being attacked by the Israeli warplanes and internationally-banned bombs.
