Hundreds of Palestinians take part in solidarity stands in WB to call for the release of prisoners from occupation’s jails

OCCUPIED AL-QUDS, Sep.19, (ST)- In support of prisoners, hundreds of Palestinians took part in solidarity stands in several cities in the West Bank called on the international community to pressure the Israeli occupation authorities to release the prisoners held in their jails, mainly hunger strikers and the sick.

Wafa Agency reported that participants in the stands that were organized by the Prisoners’ and Ex-Prisoners’ Affairs Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners’ Club in central Hebron outside the doors of the International Committee of the Red Cross in Tulkarm, Bethlehem and Tubas, raised pictures of the two prisoners, Kayed Al-Fasfus and Sultan Khalouf, who have been on hunger strike for 48 days, and a number of sick prisoners, and banners stressing that the Palestinians would stand by the prisoners until they get their freedom.

The Director of the Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority in Bethlehem, Mageda Al-Azraq, confirmed that the prisoners face the worst types of torture from the occupation, which is trying to break their strong will.

She indicated that there are 200 sick prisoners, including 27 cancer patients, out of more than 5,000 prisoners, asserting the need for working on exposing the occupation’s crimes. before the world until it stops them.

For his part, the spokesman for the Prisoners’ Club, Amjad Al-Najjar, referred to the deterioration of the health of the prisoner suffering from cancer, Asif Al-Rifai, as a result of the occupation’s refusal to give him chemical doses, which constitutes a real danger to his life.

He pointed out that the stands aim to support the prisoners and to convey a message to the world, the international community, and the institutions that they must adopt serious action to help release prisoners from Israeli jails.
