Provinces – The army has stepped up operations against terrorist organizations, advancing in various areas across the country and making more gains, the latest was establishing control over the strategic Tal Ahmar (hill) in Quneitra, SANA reported.
Eastern Ghouta, Damascus Countryside
Army units started a military operation in Joubar and Harasta in Eastern Ghouta, establishing control over Rima Water Company and several buildings in Joubar, in addition to destroying terrorists’ command and communication centers.
Homs
Leaders within Ahrar al-Sham Movement killed in army ambush
An army unit killed at least 7 members of a terrorist group from the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement” in al-Houleh area in the northern countryside of Homs province.
The army unit ambushed the terrorist group near al-Samalil village in southern al-Houleh, leaving all its members dead or wounded.
The group’s leader, Ammar al-Khodr, was identified among the dead, in addition to a Chechen terrorist nicknamed “Abo Anas.
The terrorist organizations’ social media pages acknowledged the death of the 7 members of the group ambushed, and said Ammar al-Khodr, who was confirmed dead, was the chief of Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement in al-Houleh.
The Movement’s military leader, named Abdullah Barakat, was also among the dead.
Daraa
An army unit destroyed a vehicle equipped with a heavy machinegun, killing all terrorists on board it, on the road leading to Atman town in the northern countryside of the southern Daraa province.
Another army unit killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists and destroyed their arms and ammunition as it targeted their positions in Tafas city in the western countryside of the province.
A number of terrorists were also killed or injured and their weapons and equipment were destroyed in a precise army operation in Daraa city near the border with Jordan.
Dozens of terrorists have fled Daraa towards the Jordanian territories.
Deir Ezzor
100 ISIS terrorists killed near Deir Ezzor airport, others buried in mass graves in Mohassan
The army units defending Deir Ezzor military airport engaged in fierce clashes with ISIS terrorists during the past 24 hours.
Around 100 ISIS terrorists were killed or injured in the clashes, and that a vehicle with a heavy machine gun mounted on it was destroyed.
Meanwhile, an army unit destroyed a vehicle for ISIS terrorists on al-Mrei’iyeh road, killing 7 terrorists on board it.
The terrorist Hassan al-Hamdi, identified as one of ISIS leaders in Mohassan city, was among the dead.
Army operations also targeted ISIS important positions near the Municipality and Court of al-Boseira village in eastern Deir Ezzor, leaving a number of terrorists dead and 3 vehicles destroyed.
ISIS has buried 93 of its killed members in mass graves in the city.
