Hundreds of Families, Previously Displaced by Terrorists from Sbeineh Town, to Return Home on Friday
DAMASCUS COUNTRYSIDE, (ST)- In preparation for their return to their homes, hundreds of families, who were previously displaced by terrorist groups from Sbeineh town in Damascus Countryside, entered their town on Sunday to inspect their houses after the government rehabilitated the damaged basic infrastructure and utilities in the town.
The families, who gathered at the entrance of Sbeineh, expressed their happiness and promised to work as to rebuild Syria and support the Syrian Arab Army which has achieved major victories in the fight against terrorism and offered sacrifices as to restore security and stability to all the Syrian areas.
Minister of State for National Reconciliation Ali Haidar said all the families will return according to organized lists and within a plan that meets all their needs.
Governor of Damascus Countryside Alaa Muneir Ibrahim said the locals will start returning on Friday, the first day of Eid al-Adha.
He added maintenance works for the communications, sewage, drinking water and electricity networks began today as to restore the different services the town needs.
