HAMA, (ST)- People of Hama northern countryside, who were displaced as a result of terrorist groups crimes, began on Tuesday to return to their houses after the Syrian Arab army had expelled the terrorists, cleared the area from mines and explosive devices left by the terrorists and restored security and stability there.

According to SANA reporter, hundreds of families returned today to their houses in the towns and villages of Souran, Teibet al-Imam, M’ardes, Koukab and Maan from where they had previously been displaced by the terrorists.

Mohammad al-Hazouri, Hama Governor, said in a statement during his tour in the villages that all service institutions in the governorate of Hama were instructed to meet the basic needs of the returned locals maximum within 48 hours as to help them stay in their areas and restore their normal life as soon as possible.

Maintenance workshops at the services institutions are working around the clock and with full capacity to fix the damage caused to the electricity, communication, water and sewage networks by terrorist attacks, the governor added.

Army engineering units have recently completed the clearance of several villages and towns in Hama northern countryside from explosives and mines planted by the terrorists in these areas before they were defeated in a wide military operation carried out by the Syrian army last April.
