NEW YORK, (ST)- The humanitarian crisis in Syria is caused by the siege imposed by the terrorist organizations on civilians and the terrorists’ attacks on humanitarian aid convoys, in addition to the absence of security in the terrorist-held areas as well as the politicization of the humanitarian file and the lack of coordination with the Syrian government, Syria’s Permanent Representative at the United Nations Bashar Al-Jaafari has stressed.
During a Security Council session on Monday on the humanitarian situation in Syria, al-Jaafari said that Syria rejects the selective policy adopted by some countries while dealing with the humanitarian crisis in the country.
The Syrian diplomat reiterated that no one in the entire world is keener than the Syrian state on the life of the Syrian citizens who are suffering the atrocities of the terrorist groups. He pointed out that the repeated terror attacks against civilians in Aleppo coincided with the Syrian state’s announcement of truce three times to save the lives of innocent people.
He added that terrorist acts in Syria are being committed by the takfiri terrorists affected by the Saudi Wahhabi doctrine.
Al-Jaafari talked about the new massacre perpetrated today by the aircrafts of the US-led international coalition against Syrian civilians in al-Salehia village in the northern countryside of Raqqa province. The attack claimed the lives of 10 civilians. He also noted to the coalition’s crime of targeting a modest cotton-spinning plant in al-Salehia village that claimed the lives of three workers and an entire family of six displaced people who were residing the village.
Terrorism hitting Syria is the same kind of terrorism hitting Mosul
“The Terrorism hitting Syria is the same kind of terrorism hitting Mosul, so why they keep accusing us while supporting the military operations there [in Mosul]”, a-Jaafari said, adding that “they want to create a terrorism state inside Syria, a state that enjoys the support of the western regimes sponsoring and funding terrorism”.
Al-Jaafri pointed out that the American Envoy’s claims about the content of the leaflets dropped by the Syrian air force in eastern Aleppo are nothing but lies.
“The US envoy claimed that the Syrian air force has dropped leaflets telling civilians in eastern Aleppo to “leave or die” and of course these claims are nothing but lies and they are shameful,” said al-Jaafari, stressing that the air force dropped leaflets that called on civilians to keep away from terrorist organizations and leave eastern Aleppo.
If some governments care about terrorists they can take them and grant them their nationalities
“The Syrian government has opened six humanitarian corridors to civilians in eastern Aleppo and two other corridors to gunmen who want to leave the area, but the terrorists refused to leave or allow civilians to exit eastern Aleppo in order to use them as human shields,” al-Jaafari said, pointing out that if some governments care about those terrorists they can take them and grant them their nationality.
Al-Jaafri went on to say that if the US envoy thinks that moving 8000 terrorists from Eastern Aleppo to the United States can help the Syrian people, she can take them, particularly as most of these terrorists are non-Syrians who came from 100 countries to fight the Syrian government.
According to al-Jaafari, the statement of the UN Undersecretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs Stephen O’Brein on Syria didn’t mention terrorism as if there were no terrorism in Syria.
