Humanitarian aid sent from Lebanon, Syrian expatriates in Sweden to those affected by the earthquake in Syria

A delegation from the Committee of Friends of the Dean of the Lebanese Prisoners in Israeli detention centers Yahya Skaf expressed their solidarity with those affected by the earthquake in Syria, and provided humanitarian aid, including clothes and shoes for children.
Secretary of the committee Jamal Skaf said during the delegatjon’s visit to the office of the Baath Arab Socialist Party in Jabal Mohsen, Tripoli, North Lebanon: that Syria has stood by Lebanon and the Lebanese resistance that defeated the Zionist enemy thanks to the Syrian support.
Skaf called for intensifying popular and partisan campaigns from all countries of the world in order to help Syria, stressing that history will do justice to the loyal ones who stood by Syria at this stage.

Skaf also condemned the Israeli aggression against Damascus, stressing that this aggression is a clear assault on Syria’s sovereignty in front of the world public opinion in the light of the deafening silence of the international community and some Arab regimes.

In his turn, Jalal Aoun, Secretary of the North Branch of the Baath Arab Socialist Party, said: This committee never hesitated to stand by all the right issues that concern our homelands and our nation, because our conscience, patriotism, and humanity require us to be on the side of Syria.

In a related context, the National Union of Syrian Expatriates in Sweden and Europe, in cooperation with the Syrian community and Arab and foreign expatriates, and in coordination with the Syrian diplomatic mission in Stockholm, organized a relief campaign for the people affected by the earthquake in Syria, entitled “Smile of Hope 4”. The aid included clothes and blankets.
