With the participation of 100 women, activities of the “Aleppo Ahla” Bazaar” ( Aleppo is more beautiful) activities opened Saturday evening.
The three-day event is organized by the Aleppo Governorate and ” Al-Kinana” Foundation for Exhibitions and Conferences at the Al-Ittihad Sports Club.
The bazaar’s handmade products are distinguished by the precision and ingenuity of housewives through the diversity of woolen handicrafts, clothes, etamine , embroideries, and types of food that characterize Aleppo cuisine, sweets, laurel soap, detergents, cosmetics, painting on glass as well as woodwork and decorative accessories.
Head of the Board of Directors of Al-Kinana Exhibitions Foundation, Kinana Alloush, said in a statement to SANA that the goal of the bazaar is to provide support to women and housewives who own small projects through displaying and marketing their products. She noted the diversity and distinctiveness of these products, which depend primarily on manual skill in their manufacture, stressing the continuation of providing facilities for participants to support their projects .
A number of participants stressed the importance of participation in this bazaar which constitutes an opportunity to introduce and market their products to visitors .
The chemist, Bodour Idris, praised the good organization of the exhibition and the great turnout of visitors since the opening of its activities, stressing that through her participation she encourages visitors to be interested in the natural products.
The participants called for holding these exhibitions periodically because of their importance in paving the way for small business owners to display and market their products.
