“ Hope through Creativity” Aleppo Spring Art Collective Exhibition 2021 kicks off

With the participation of 34 plastic artists, the Aleppo  Spring Art Collective  exhibition  2021  entitled “ Hope through Creativity” was opened on Tuesday at Al-Assad  Fine Arts hall in Aleppo.  

The cultural event , which is held  by the Aleppo Branch of the  Fine Artists Union , included sculptural works and oil paintings representing different  art schools. 

Ibrahim Daoud, head of the exhibitions committee  at  the Aleppo branch of the  Plastic Artists union said in a statement to SANA that  “ the exhibition  expresses  the state of détente, security and stability  after the  nine-year brutal war on Syria”.

 

On his part ,  Jaber Al-Sajour, director of Aleppo culture highlighted that “ the exhibition is a clear message  that Aleppo is  the  cradle of art , in spite of it being  subjected to systematic destruction carried out by terrorist groups”. 

He stressed that  the cultural and artistic activities held in al-Shahba confirm that Syrians  are capable of reconstructing  their beloved country  intellectually and humanly.

Plastic artist Najla Dalati pointed out that her painting, which depicted the phoenix,  embodies the state of revival and renewal, using the expressive realistic school in joyful colors that express hope for the future despite all  challenges and that Syria  will remain strong in its civilization, culture and history.

In turn the plastic artist, Joseph Totonjian, participated in a sculpture using the contemporary modernity method. It  expressed  the state of exit from the  state of insularity . The plastic artist   called  for visiting the exhibition as  its  artworks   reflect a positive  societal state.

Young artist Basil Ahmed ‘s  painting   embodied the human being’s contradictions, using cold oil colors. He  considered  that exhibitions  play a positive role in introducing different artistic  cultures ,  prominent  various plastic artists as well as different art  schools.

A number of  visitors to the exhibition referred to the diversity of the displayed  artworks  which depict   the Syrian situation and embody the rise of Syria from under the ashes using modern techniques.
