Honoring Dozens of Families of Army Martyrs in Deir Ezzor

In appreciation of the sacrifices of the martyrs,dozens of families of the martyrs of the Syrian Arab Army were honored in Deir Ezzor Governorate on December 20th. 

The honoring ceremony included the presentation of medals of devotion to the families of the martyrs, a documentary film about the sacrifices and heroisms of our army and its defeat of terrorism in Deir Ezzor, and poetic paragraphs and words about the greatness of martyrdom. 

The governor of Deir Ezzor, Fadel Najjar, indicated in his speech that the blood of the martyrs that irrigated the soil of the homeland painted the features of victory. 

He noted the heroism of the men of the Syrian Arab Army, who wrote epics in the face of terrorism and its supporters. 

The Director of the Directorate of Martyrs, Wounded and Missing Affairs, Major General Bassam Berri, said that this honor comes in appreciation of the heroism of our valiant army. 

The head of the Martyrs Affairs Branch in the Eastern Region, Brigadier General Bassam Al-Hamid, said that the honoring included 100 families of the martyrs’ families in appreciation of their sacrifices and the heroism of their children in order to defend the homeland.

In turn, the families of the martyrs and the wounded expressed their pride in their sons who illuminated the path to victory and defended their homeland. 

The honoring ceremony was attended by Deputy Defense Minister General Mahmoud Abdel Wahhab Al-Shawa, Secretary of the Arab Socialist Baath Party branch, Raed Al-Ghadban, head of the security and military committee in the governorate of Deir Ezzour ,and a number of officers of the Syrian Arab Army.
