The Mazda car bomb was containing three gas cylinders booby trapped with about 7kg of C4 explosives, the source added.

Prime Minister Wael al-Halqi denounced the two terrorist blasts, saying: “This coward act that targeted children as they were leaving the schools to prevent them from having knowledge and education would never dissuade the steadfast Syrian people from going ahead with fighting the Takfiri terrorist organizations that have been collapsed after the  achievements  being realized by the Syrian army and Internal forces.”

He underscored that Syrian army will continue fighting terrorist organizations till restoration of stability and peace nationwide.

“Our schools will remain a fortress in confronting the Takfiri thinking,” the premier said.

Homs Governor Talal Barazi underscored that such criminal act is a hopeless attempt to undermine steadfastness of Syria and its people through targeting innocent kids.
