Homs industrialists call to solve a number of issues and review of some legislation

On June 17th, industrialists in Homs held their annual meeting of the General Assembly of the Homs Chamber of Industry and called for finding solutions to a number of issues, especially reconsidering some legislation to achieve tax justice and amending the Social Security Law.

The Minister of Industry, Dr. Abdel-Qader Joukhadar, confirmed that all the demands that were put forward at the annual meeting of the bodies of industrial chambers in Homs and the rest of the governorates are subject to discussion, with the aim of reaching solutions in cooperation with the Economic Committee.

Jokhdar said: “The priority today is to push the process of production and preserve the identity of the national industry and its advancement.”

In his response to the interventions, the Governor of Homs, Eng. Namir Makhlouf, explained that work is being done to solve the problem of commuting  between Homs and the industrial city in Hassia through the settlement of workers, and solutions are being sought to find solutions to the outstanding problems of each region, including the craft and industrial areas, during periodic tours in the governorate.

In turn, the head of the Homs Chamber of Industry, Labib Al-Ikhwan, stated that the importance of having a working guide for the concerned authorities to develop appropriate solutions for what is being proposed.

He added that all the issues raised by the industrialists will be resolved .

The meeting was attended by the assistant minister, Eng. Asaad Warda and Ayman Khoury.
