Homs Health Directorate adopts a three-stage emergency plan to improve health services in the province
HOMS, Feb.22, (ST)-Director of Homs Health Director Dr. Reda Al-Omar announced that the directorate has started a three-stage emergency plan to improve the situation and quality of health services provided by hospitals and health centers in the province.
Dr. Al-Omar clarified:
The first stage includes securing the requirements for the continued operation of centers and hospitals that were operating at their minimum capacity.
The second stage includes rehabilitating centers and hospitals that are in service, and improving the quality of medical services they provide by developing the infrastructure, providing them with the necessary equipment, and addressing the problem of poor distribution of nursing staff and training them well.
The third stage, which is strategic one, aims to rebuild the destroyed hospitals and health centers, so that they can return to providing their health services to citizens.
He added that the field hospital in Al-Muhajireen neighborhood will be transferred to Al-Qusayr city to provide its services to the city and the surrounding villages, as it is witnessing a large return of displaced people and lacks health services because the national hospital there is completely destroyed.
Dr. Al-Omar pointed out that the health center in Al-Qusayr has been directed to work 24 hours a day to provide emergency and nursing services until the mobile hospital is transferred to it.
He also indicated hat Al-Muhajireen neighborhood will receive health services through the “Karm Al-Loz” and “Al-Zahraa” hospitals located near the neighborhood, asserting hat the health centers will soon be provided with electrical power or alternative energy to operate the devices, which ensures their continued operation and positively reflects on the quality of health services.
