Homeland Document Establishment honors winners of “This Is My Story” Competition

Damascus (ST):  Homeland Document Establishment has honored the winners in “This Is My Story” competition for the year 2020  in a ceremony held at al-Assad Library in Damascus.

The stories highlighted noble values and the suffering of the Syrian people and their legendary steadfastness during the terrorist war on Syria.

The contributions consisted of 800 stories in this year’s competition , twelve of which won and they were distributed to four age categories.

In her speech, President of the Council of Secretaries of the Establishment, Dr. Bouthaina Sha’aban affirmed that the prize honours all people who confronted the unprecedented takfiri terrorism on Syria with patience, steadfastness and national cohesion, noting that there are unknown heroes who confronted the Takfiri terrorism with their high awareness looking forward to protecting their homeland and people.

She added that the war on Syria has a media nature whose weapons were lies and fabrications planned and funded  by regional and Western parties, noting that Syria does not only confront terrorism, but it writes truthful and realistic history about what has been planned to distance it from the axis of the resistance and weaken its national decision, and the result was that the axis of the resistance became stronger and more consolidated.

Member of the arbitration committee writer Nabil Saleh said that the winning stories would be published in a book.

The ceremony was attended by Ministers of Information and Social Affairs, Damascus Governor and a number of ambassadors accredited in Damascus.

Homeland Document is a national non-governmental and non-profitable establishment that contributes to writing contemporary Syrian history.
