Holding parliamentary elections in Syria a successful step towards attaining peace and stability in the country
PRAGUE, (ST)- Head of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Syria Stanislav Grospic has affirmed that Syria’s success in holding the elections of the People’s Assembly has indicated the stability of the internal situation in Syria, despite the unilateral coercive economic measures imposed on the country.
In a statement to SANA correspondent in Prague on Saturday, Grospic said that holding the elections under American coercive measures and continuous attempts by terrorist groups and foreign occupation forces to undermine the national economy, is a step forward in the course of attaining peace and stability in Syria.
The American and Western pressure on Syria won’t weaken its determination to press ahead with the struggle to liberate its entire land from terrorism and to preserve its unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, Grospic clarified.
