From the very beginning of the crisis in Syria, the Israeli substantial involvement in the crisis in Syria has been very clear as it is the main party which benefits from the destruction of Syria and the end of resistance to the Zionist project in the region.
As the so-called Arab spring was a sinister project planned by the US and its regional and Western allies with the aim of weakening the Arab states and creating chaos there, it is natural for Israel to be the main beneficiary of such colonial project to press ahead with its racist and aggressive policies against Arab people.
In his speech to the joint session of the U.S. Congress on May 24, 2011, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke about the “Arab Spring” positively, as if he stood shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the rioters describing the “Arab Spring” as an historic moment holding the promise of a new dawn for Israel. Such a statement reflects Netanyahu’s support for this evil project because it is a golden opportunity for Israel to benefit from the chaos prevailing in the Arab region to implement its anti-peace and racist policies.
For this reason, Netanyahu and his ilk spare no effort to support the armed terrorist groups operating in Syria. The Israeli support for the terrorist groups in Syria has taken various forms starting from offering military equipment and ammunition to al-Qa’eda linked organizations and other terrorist groups. Moreover, Israeli Mossad officers have been actively taking part in the meetings held in the operation rooms established in Amman to plan terrorist acts against Syrian people and infrastructure. Israel has also pledged to treat the wounded terrorists in the Israeli hospitals.
On February 18, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu paid a visit to a secret field hospital in the occupied Golan Heights, which offers medical services to the injured terrorists coming from Syria.
An Israeli commander has also admitted that the Israeli military is in contact with the foreign-backed militant and terrorist groups operating inside Syria. The Israeli commander said the terrorists provide Israeli intelligence officials with information on the identity and medical condition of the wounded terrorists. Some reports say hundreds of al-Qaeda-linked terrorists have received treatment in Israeli hospitals. Most of them have returned to Syria, where they carry out terrorist operations against Syrian people, army and infrastructure. On February 21, foreign-backed Syrian opposition leader Muhammad Badie reportedly praised Netanyahu for visiting the wounded terrorists. Badie said that he and his friends thanked the Israeli premier for publicly voicing support for the injured militants.
Abdul-Ilah al-Bashir, the new commander of the so-called Free Syrian Army (FSA) has been trained in Israel. Bashir was taken to Israel for treatment last year after he was injured in southern Syria.
The appointment of Bashir took place concurrently with the defeat of the foreign-backed terrorists in al-Qalmoun region and after the second round of the Geneva talks on Syria.
The Israeli support for terrorists was because the so-called Arab spring project was an opportunity for pressing ahead with racist policies. Capitalizing on the world’s concentration on the so-called Arab Spring, Israel has taken several racist and anti-peace measures that perpetuate its occupation of the Arab territories.
Illegal settlement activities, which run contrary to all international norms and blatantly violate the UN charter, were on the top of the occupation government’s priorities during the past two years with the aim of changing the demographic and geographic status of the occupied territories and wipe out their genuine Arab identity. The Israeli racist measures explain Israel’s keenness to coordinate with the terrorist groups at the highest level and offer all possible support to them.
